Well, we've kind of alluded to this from time to time over the past few weeks,

but I'm so excited to make a formal announcement to everybody that the box of oddities

is producing a second podcast.

Yeah!

Box of oddities presents the shallow end.

Yes, and this will be a beautiful combination of J.G. and the curator, whose name is Lindsay,

and they're going to tell you amazing stories, and then I will edit it so that it sounds good.

These are going to be stories of stupid things people do.

Now, Lindsay and I have been friends forever, childhood friends, and we kind of bonded over stories like this.

Hey, did you hear about the guy stories?

Yeah, I think the story that really created our mutual love for these types of incidents was a guy in,

I think it was Utah, decided he was going to make his own fireworks,

and he had some black powder at his house because he was reloading his bullets, his own ammunition.

And so he took a toilet paper tube and put duct tape on the end and filled it up with essentially gunpowder,

and then stuck a fuse in the other end and went out into the field somewhere to light it.

Takes his lighter out of his pocket, and he lights this makeshift stick of dynamite essentially.

Essentially.

And then tucks the tube of gunpowder between his legs so he can put his lighter back in his pocket.
