Hello and welcome to a brand new history podcast for people who don't like history

or released people who forgot to learn any at school.

My name is Greg Jenner, I'm a public historian, author and broadcaster,

and I've spent the past decade making history fun for kids

on the BBC comedy show Horrible Histories,

and now I'd like to do it for you.

In every episode my guests and I will offer up a bluff as guide

to a key bit of global history while making sure to keep it light and fun

like a space hopper filled with facts.

And today we're winding back the clock nearly 2,000 years to get to grips with the

angriest woman in ancient Britain, Queen Budica, who went toe to toe with a

might of Rome and very nearly made and looks stupid.

Joining me in the studio to chat about her life and her rebellion are two badass women in their own

right, though hopefully they'll refrain from burning down culturester

at least for the duration of the show.
