0:26.0	And a little while ago, a reporter, Matthew Kilti, came to me with the story of an idea.
0:32.0	Yeah, the idea that you were born into a sexual orientation, this is like the born this way,
0:38.1	idea?
0:39.1	Yeah, the born this way, idea.
0:40.1	Okay.
0:41.1	Which I always believed to be true for much of my life, but in the past few years, that idea
0:47.3	felt essentially like under assault and in these like pretty public ways and ways that
0:54.2	were happening on both the right and the left.
0:57.7	And so it's like on one hand, you have something like the bill in Florida, seven, the parents
1:03.5	rights and education bill, the don't say gay bill, the bill prohibits classroom instruction
1:08.8	where you can't teach kids third grade and below anything about sexual orientation or
1:12.9	gender identity because the logic there is that by talking about sexuality and gender or
1:20.2	reading a book about it or whatever.
1:21.8	We will make sure that parents can send their kids to school.
1:25.5	That those things will like change a kid's identity to get an education, not an indoctrination.
1:33.1	Yeah.
