I'm Kellanerskin. I'm a comic and a father. Just like how Steve Martin was a comic and then became a father when he was 67.

Kellan's doing those in the reverse order. I'm David Vance. I don't do stand-up, but I do like it when everyone shuts up so I can talk for a long time.

Born Standing Up teaches lessons from the career of Steve Martin, arguably the most successful

stand-up comic of all time. I say arguably because Kellan argues it's himself. And this is the

book pile. Here's one of my favorite reviews from the last

week. My own private Idaho says, the host's rapport is entertaining and hilarious, and I've actually

picked up a few books based on what I've heard on this podcast. We love hearing that, especially because we get

royalties on all books.

No, we don't. No authors have contacted us yet with that deal. If anything, Dale Carnegie,

based on what we said about his book last week, he's going to come up from hell and start haunting us.
