Something significant did happen to change my mind.

Doris Johnson is going to stand down. He's quitting as an MP.

The time says that the Commons Privileges Committee has concluded that Mr Johnson did mislead Parliament.

A scathing attack on those investigating him over partigate.

He labelled the committee a kangaroo court and claimed he was a victim of a witch hunt.

And now we have a third, Nigel Adams.

So this is beginning to look like a coordinated campaign of resignations.

But Boris Johnson asked me to do something that I wasn't prepared to do because I didn't think it was right.
