Yesterday, in the House of Commons, the now former Health Secretary,

Sajid Javid stood up to make a personal statement.

After dramatically resigning,

from Boris Johnson's cabinet the night before.

I believe that we are all motivated by the national interest,

and that the public expects us all, all of us,

to maintain honesty and to maintain integrity in whatever we do.

He told the room and the Prime Minister that he'd lost faith in him

as a leader of the Conservative Party.

Javid confirmed what has been said for months.

He feared for the long-term damage that Johnson might have already caused

the party's reputation.

So loyalty must go both ways.

The events of recent months have made it increasingly difficult to be in that team.

After months of scandals at the heart of Johnson's government,
