You know what, if I were Boris Johnson, I'd be feeling pretty bewildered too, because for years,

the British media gave him the easiest possible ride, laughed and giggled along with him,

turned into this amiable, ruffled hair, self-deprecating, Latin-quoting figure of fun,

our Boris. That was a kind of gist of it, wasn't it? That's kind of what we were served up

by those fearless warriors in the British media. But then, well, some of them, which we'll come

on to, suddenly pulled the plug in. Now, anyway, after being found officially to be a liar, which

we didn't really need an extensive, months-long, multi-million-pound inquiry to establish,

his lips moving, his generally speaking, ample evidence. Johnson's defenders have been touring

the airwaves, making themselves look like absolute blabbering clown shows. Now, the media haven't

all abandoned him. I'll come onto that shortly. But let's just hear the best BBC interviewer for

my money, speaking of someone who's been on the receiving end, Victoria Darbyshire, taking a part

Brendan Clark Smith, the preposterous Conservative MP for Bassett Law. You have called a report

spiteful, vindictive, and the Committee of Kangaroo Court. I mean, why are you indulging in what

the Committee calls a campaign of abuse and intimidation? No, he decided he lied. He misled

on nine occasions. But unless they've got a crystal ball, how they can know that he intentionally

did that? I don't know. I don't know what other people are thinking, of course, and what Boris Johnson said.
