Today I am speaking to you from a lovely Scottish day.

And I have the great delight of, and I'm hoping that I don't spill it on my computer.

And I have the great delight of welcoming a guest on today that I think you will all enjoy immensely and learn a great deal from, which is Dr. Rebecca Lamb. She is a lecturer in theology in the arts

at the Divinity School at the University of St. Andrews. And we are going to talk today about boredom.

We hope it won't be boring. Anything but. Anything but, indeed. So welcome on the show, Rebecca.

Thank you for having me. And Rebecca, we met about a year and a year and a half ago now. Close to that.

Close to that now. Yes. In person. We had met in the

Twitter sphere earlier than that. I am always surprised at how many kindred spirits I have encountered

on Twitter. I know. Yeah. And so little bit surely, but surely, they begin to trickle into meeting

people in real life. And you had just finished your PhD the year before when we met, right?

Close to it, yes.

Yeah, I finished my doctorate in 2015.

Okay, and you were doing a postdoctoral fellowship, right?

And you kind of, you came here just for a month.

I don't remember, you were doing research here?

Yes, yeah, I was doing a research stint and was doing a little bit of work with Judith Wolfe, who is now,

who's now one of my colleagues.
