I'm your host, Cory Muscara, and in today's episode we're going to talk about boredom

and what a potential antidote for boredom may be.

Mordecaum on that in a moment first let's settle in together with the sound of the bells.

Okay, so boredom, we're all familiar with boredom, that feeling of being bored, wanting

something more, wanting to be excited, energized, something new, something novel, and especially

these days where we have so many opportunities for distraction or little pleasures or dopamine

hits through technology can be very easy to feel boredom and immediately get ourselves

out of it.

We just play a game on our phones or scroll through social media, get a little bit more

dopamine hit, but I remember when I was a kid before all of this technology really came

on the scene, we would sit on the front lawn, me, my brother, some of the neighbors, the

neighbors kids, and we'd just be like, what do you want to do today?

I don't know, what do you want to do?

I don't know, what do you want to do?

We'd just sit there until we figured out something we wanted to do, and remember this

one summer we invented this game called Tennis Baseball, which was nothing more than playing

baseball with a tennis ball, we thought it was so cool, we thought we invented it and we

played it for years, but it all came out of just sitting in boredom and waiting for something

to arise.
