Russian forces firing tens of thousands of artillery rounds a day in Eastern Ukraine.

Now Moscow was the annexed more territory in the south and east.

But CIA director Bill Burns says Russia's gains have come at a high cost.

Something in the vicinity of 15,000 killed and maybe three times that wound.

It's a quite significant set of losses.

That's about 100 killed and 300 wounded each day in nearly five months of war.

Far outpacing Russia's losses in its 10 year war in Afghanistan.

I think Fox has figured out that people, including me, like good news about Ukraine a lot more than they like bad news.

So they're looking for pieces they can get.

When I listen to that, I think, yeah, Russia doesn't care though is the thing.

I don't know that they care if 15,000 people die to take that chunk of land.
