And I'm going to circle back to one of the topic that is most often asked about and talked about,

and I find to be incredibly interesting and one that I primarily focus on in treatment is borderline personality disorder,

but from what's called a psychodynamic perspective.

Now, psychodynamic does not equate with psychoanalytic.

That is Freudian theory.

Psychodynamic is more about how we conceptualize an individual.

And this goes beyond just a case formulation and meeting diagnostic criteria, but looking at all of the different mechanisms that contribute to borderline personality, any of the personality disorders,

depression, anxiety, possibly bipolarity, OCD, hoarding, a whole variety of psychological conditions.

And, you know, psychodynamic theory was based very much in the work of Alfred

Adler, which was the, you know, the ontogenesis and etiology for cognitive behavioral therapy.
