| 0:35.8 | But let me give you the following profile as one possible |
| 0:40.8 | presentation that I might conceptualize as someone that has both borderline and narcissistic |
| 0:48.4 | personality. So you have someone who has the same, has both the traumas that are involved in both. |
| 1:00.3 | So with narcissistic personality, the way that the early child is interpreting the world |
| 1:06.7 | is that they're being neglected, maybe abused, because they are inferior, because they don't matter, |
| 1:14.4 | because they don't really exist, maybe. |
| 1:17.8 | And so to offset that, to defend against that, when they're very young, they decide not only |
| 1:24.5 | do they exist, but they're superior. |
| 1:26.2 | And they don't need other people because other people only remind them that they're |
| 1:29.9 | inferior. |
| 1:31.5 | And so they're defending against this, this truism to themselves. |
