Today, we're taking you on a journey from Iraq all the way across Europe. But first, we'll start at the end, in Gonsanth, a suburb of a small part town called Dunkirk,

and Dunkirk is in the north of France. It's about 20 miles from the shores of the United Kingdom.

We're actually at a refugee camp, and like

all refugee camps, everyone here has a story. But we've come here for one particular story.

The majority of the people here are Kurdish-Radaki, and they're in transition. They're moving

and taking chances every night to cross over to the United Kingdom.

In part one of today's episode, we're exploring one family story, how they got here in the

first place, and as if their story wasn't extraordinary enough fleeing their hometown for safety

and stability, this particular family actually lost each other in the shuffle through Europe's elusive borders.
