Rich, if you don't know him, is one of the most influential people in the land of the pobs.

He's, well, what is he? He's a best-selling author. That's how he first came to many people's attention, because about a decade ago, he published

a memoir called Finding Ultra, Rejecting Middle Age, becoming one of the world's fittest

men, and discovering myself.

So he's an Ultraman.

Like, these are, do you know Ultraman competitions?

They take a marathon and then like a, you know, a superhuman, what do you call like Iron Man thing?

And then they go even further.

The most difficult thing that you can do to the human body in the world, you know, three day long,

hundreds and hundreds of kilometers of swimming and cycling

and running.

I mean, to me, this is hell.

This is the worst thing you could, if you gave me the choice of doing an ultramarathon or an

ultraman competition and then or you could kill me.

I would think long and hard about which one.

And they may even be the same outcome either way, depending on my level of fitness.

What's interesting about Rich is he didn't get into this until he was in middle age.

He was an entertainment lawyer, a drunk, like just skimming along, you know, highly educated,

went to Cornell and Stanford, and, you know, basically drank his life away in his 20s
