Sherry and I met a lot of celebrities, and I've never held on to autographs, but I've got two or three, and one of them is on a CD, and it's Tina Turner's.

And as you probably know, she passed away yesterday in a small town Kuznak near Zurich, Switzerland, where she has lived

a good portion of her life since she retired. She died at the age of 83. And what a voice, what a

performer, and what a story coming from Nut Bush, Mississippi. That was the name of of the town she even did a song on it

i was um i was so sad and she was 83 but i think yeah my mind she was perpetually 45 you know

like your whole life did you know i I was reading about Tina Turner yesterday afternoon.

Did you know that she was the very first black artist and the first woman to be on the cover of Rolling Stone?

Did you know that?

Is that right?

That's shocking.

That really is because there was some great African American singers for years they could have put on there too.

But they didn't. She was the first and the first, the first woman, not just the first black woman, but the first woman.

She was also ranked by Rolling Stone in the top 100 greatest artists of all time and the top 100 greatest singers of all time.

And she retired, was it about a decade ago?

She's been living in Switzerland for a long time.

Maybe a little longer than that.

And she really craved privacy.

And I'm happy to say that she got it mostly, probably because she was in Switzerland.

There was a movie that was pretty good.

Angela Bassett played Tina Turner, and that's a big role to take on.

And I thought she did a great job, and there's a moment where she's singing River Deep Mountain
