The Mets had a pretty good feeling after winning a couple of nights ago in Chicago came back from

six one down. Last night they trailed, but there was no comeback on this night. Instead, they just

kind of vomited all over themselves defensively. Now the pitch, swing on a chopper towards third.

Viantos backs up, back hands, throws low to first. It gets away from Alonzo. A run scores. It goes

into the protective netting. Pro Armstrong will go down to second base, and the Cubs have a 7-2 league. All right, so you hear Howie Rose. Hi, I'm Howie Rose. And you hear that Pete Crow Armstrong was the one that would go to second base on the errant throw. And then this would happen. Now the pitch in the dirt gets under the glove of Alvarez goes to the backstop.

Yeah, making it even worse.

10-3 would be the final score. Clay Holmes literally puts his head down as Crow Armstrong

rounds and sprints and comes home. And the Mets drop this game. Yeah, not good.

Here was Francisco Lindor. And we'll get to the starting pitcher in a moment, but just

sloppy baseball. We have to be better.

And then there's Jonah Tong. He was not good. Five runs in the third inning. He goes two plus. Here was Carlos Mendoza. What happened? Other than the second inning, he had a hard time elevated in the fastball, you know, and that's what makes him who he is. They took some really good changeups. And I don't think he used a breaking ball enough. I like when he says other than the second inning, he only pitched the first and couldn't get out of the third. Yeah, you know, and it's like he didn't use the breaking ball enough. All right, so if you think that he's not using the break a ball enough, shouldn't the manager look at the pitching coach and say hey uh don't use the breaking ball a little bit more

let's see what happens there but you know as david cullen was saying last night wasn't getting it

over the plate and that was a problem uh big problem here was tongue he knows not good
