Summary

Hour 1 The Mets beat the Tigers again and Nolan McLean pitched great again after having a rough start to the game. Boomer would start him first in a playoff series. Max Fried pitched well against Houston last night. We also talked about Astros pitcher Framber Valdez purposely crossing up his catcher and hitting him in the chest with a fastball. Jerry is here for his first update of the day, but first Boomer compared McLean to Tom Seaver, so that’s where we’re at this morning. The Tigers’ broadcasters seemed very impressed with his pitching. The Yankees won in Houston with a Trent Grisham grand slam. In the final segment of the hour, the Giants have listed Jaxson Dart as the backup quarterback to Russell Wilson instead of having Jameis Winston as the number two. Boomer likes the move. We also talked about Andrew Thomas’ injury. Hour 2 Rich Cimini tweeted that Vivid Seats claims there will be 48% Steelers fans at the Jets home opener on Sunday. Gio thinks that’s a bad look for the opening game. Steelers fans do travel well, but almost half the stadium? A caller said Evan Roberts sold his Jets tix for the Steelers game. Callers said they sell their tickets because MetLife is the worst stadium in the NFL. Jerry returns for an update and compares Al Dukes to Adam Schein in their takes on the upcoming Bills season. The agent for Micah Parsons was on with Pat McAfee and said he did not tell Jerry Jones to stick the contract offer up his butt. Dan Campbell is excited to be going to Lambeau for week one. The Mets won again in Detroit as Nolan McLean had another impressive outing. The Yankees beat Houston as Jazz Chisholm hit two home runs. Rafael Devers homered against Colorado and the benches cleared because he admired it. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer wondered which college head coaching job is the toughest. Hour 3 The Sporting News ranked all the NFL starting quarterbacks. Tua was ranked 28th! Justin Fields is at 24. Russell Wilson is at 23. Boomer said the Colts have lost 11 straight season openers. Gio wonders why Phil Simms is not joining us on Wednesdays this football season. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Micah Parsons and if he will need an epidural to play in week 1. Mike Gundy did a commercial for a wireless company doing a parody of his, ‘I’m a man, I’m 40!’ Jerry went around the NFL including Mike Tomlin on Justin Fields. The Yankees beat the Astros as Grisham hit a grand slam and Jazz hit 2 home runs. Bob Does Sports asked Aaron Boone about fans in the Legends seats eating instead of sitting in the seats. The Mets got another great performance from Nolan McLean and they beat the Tigers. In the final segment of the hour, we got Boomer & Gio stickers for our laptops when on TV. We also talked more about Micah Parsons getting an epidural. Steve in Atlanta checks in and says his wife gave birth ‘on all fours’. Hour 4 Earlier in the show, Boomer said that Mets pitcher Nolan McLean reminded him of Tom Seaver, and we thought that was a bit over the top. All the old people are calling, agreeing with Boomer. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the Mets win in Detroit, including the Tigers’ broadcasters who seemed amazed by McLean. The Yankees won in Houston as Trent Grisham hit another grand slam. Dianna Russini said Alijah Vera Tucker suffered a potentially serious injury and could miss significant time. Adam Schefter said it’s an arm injury and may require surgery. The Moment of The Day: Is Phil Simms joining us this football season? In the final segment of the show, we talked more about the breaking news on Tucker’s significant arm injury.
