Summary

Hour 1 The NFL season got underway last night and Cowboys fans should be pissed that they didn’t win that game. Boomer said Dak made all the great throws, but CeeDee Lamb dropped too many key balls. Boomer also thinks the Giants should look at both those teams last night and know they can hang with them. Gio thinks the opposite of that. And the game started with an ejection as Jalen Carter of the Eagles was tossed for spitting on Dak. C-Lo is in for Jerry and here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of a big CeeDee Lamb drop. We also heard Jerry Recco on the call for a key Dallas fumble. Carter talked about the spitting incident after the game. The Yankees beat the Astros as Trent Grisham hit another HR. The umpire crew had a rough series. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about tonight’s Chargers/Chiefs game being on YouTube, which is different from YouTube TV. Hour 2 The Giants season kicks off Sunday against the Commanders and everyone around WFAN seems high on them this year. Boomer thinks they will be much more competitive this year. They were a flat team with Daniel Jones and Boomer doesn’t think that’s the case anymore. Gio wonders if that translates into wins. Gio said they can’t start off 0-2 in the division and then have to play the Chiefs. Gio thinks the Jets offense is going to be miserable. A caller thinks Gio is poo-pooing both the Giants and Jets on a Feel Good Friday. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked about the vending machine situation at WFAN and how bad it is. We heard the sounds of Kevin Harlan and Jerry Recco on separate calls as the Eagles beat the Cowboys last night. Dak Prescott talked about Jalen Carter getting tossed at the start of the game for spitting on him. Trent Grisham hit another HR as the Yankees beat the Astros again. In the final segment of the hour, an insane Giants fan said they are going to win the division. The Cowboys lost last night because of a turnover and dropped balls. Hour 3 We started briefly with Cracker Barrel and Dua Lipa, then went to a caller who wants to see a 70 yard FG this season by that kicker on the Jaguars. We went over some of Al’s Cool Games this morning. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Cowboys losing to the Eagles and CeeDee Lamb dropping a few key passes. Travis Kelce did an impression of Patrick Mahomes ahead of their game tonight in Brazil. We heard the sounds of the Yankees beating the Astros. The Yankees host the Blue Jays tonight and the Mets head to Cincinnati. Bill Belichick will not let Patriot scouts watch his team. C-Lo returns for an update and has all the sounds of the Eagles win over the Cowboys, the Yankees win in Houston and the Mets rotation for the weekend. In the final segment of the hour, Tracy in Atlantic Highlands calls in and asks if we like chili competitions. Hour 4 We talked about the NFL and Boomer said there are ten teams he thinks have a legit shot at winning the Super Bowl. Boomer thinks the Patriots will make the playoffs. Boomer said how about the Cardinals or the Falcons making the playoffs? A caller wonders what we think of the announcement that Mike Tyson is fighting Floyd Mayweather. C-Lo returns for his update, but first Boomer had a lot of great questions during the break about conjoined twins. Two famous twins were seen with their newborn baby. We heard Jerry Recco on the call as the Eagles beat the Cowboys. Jalen Carter was tossed at the start for spitting on Dak Prescott. We listened to the Jim Nantz NFL season hype video. The Yankees beat the Astros as Trent Grisham hit another HR. The Moment of The Day: Jalen Carter spits on Dak, Eddie hits a Hawk Tuah drop. In the final segment of the week, our NFL picks.

Good Friday morning.

0:20.2

Our first feel good football Friday of the year. And it started

0:25.1

off pretty good last night. Well, at least the first half, very, very entertaining. The game looked

0:30.8

like it was going to be a 41 to 38 affair. Of course, it doesn't turn out that way, just a field goal in the second half.

0:38.6

And if you are a Dallas Cowboys fan this morning, you have got to be sick to your stomach.

0:43.9

You should have won that game. You should have gone into Philadelphia and won that game.

0:48.7

To be down there in the red zone so close after that personal foul and then penalties and the

Miles Sanders fumble and then the CD Lamb drops and Jalen Carter obviously getting thrown out

before a single offensive play for the Cowboys. It was all right there for him but the Philadelphia

Eagles who were defending champs found away like they they usually do, but I don't know, that

1:11.5

Cowboys team looked better than I thought that they would look. And the Giants have their home

opener after a long week in week two. Good morning, Boomer. How are you? Yeah, I'm doing all right,

1:20.8

Jay, except for the weather delay. Jesus, an hour and five minutes that just makes the game

all the way until 1130. So how about Jerry Reco?

1:28.6

I was thinking about Jerry Reco in that situation. Good thing he took today off because that would have been a very Jerry Reco-like thing. He decides, hey, you know what, I'll work on Friday. I'll figure it out. I've done this before. Then there's an hour lightning delay and he shows up here on no sleep. Ah, that's how I felt last night with this thing all started to unfurl. But I will, you know, the thing about it is we have a recency bias of the Dallas Cowboys. So the last time we saw them was without Dak Prescott as their quarterback for nine straight weeks. And it really reflected that. And then last night, he played great. You know, and C.D. Lamb took total ownership of it.

2:02.6

Miles Sanders took total ownership of it. Quarterback played great. I don't want to hear any more about Dak Prescott this. Dak Prescott that. He made all the throws. He got the team in the right spot. You could actually even say that he got Joe in the quarter to spit on him, I guess. But I, the fact of the matter fact of the matter is I didn't see a lot of great pass rush from either team last night.

2:23.8

You know, there were some moments where there was some, and there was a couple blitzes that got home.
