Welcome to the sports motivation podcast. This is your host, Niyushobo, and today is another episode of books and bars where I break down excerpts from books that I read, break down bars that I hear from rap lyrics that I enjoy. And recently, we've added something new.

Now, today is not from a speech, but it's from, it's a clip from some just some Jewels that a rapper actually has dropped. And it's from this video on YouTube.

And, you know, what's funny is a lot of people who not rap really just, a lot of it just comes from ignorance.

But even those who like rap, I think you sometimes imagine that these rappers that you see can only talk about one thing.

You forget that they also had to apply

the universal laws of success in order to get what they want.

And what you find is that they're a lot more articulate

and have very clearly defined philosophies

that have landed them in the places of power that they've gotten to.

And I always enjoy hearing from the words of these rappers themselves. It's one of the things

that I enjoy about rap through the lyrics. And I also feel like a lot of rappers need to write

books. There's no reason in the world why all of these top rappers, the ditties of the world,

the Lil Wains of the world, the Rick Rosses of the world, shouldn't have New York Times bestsellers laying out the philosophies.

But anyway, Rick Ross in this clip drops the straight bar that really spoke to me and I want to break it down.

So B. Croc, go ahead and drop that and let's break into it. So what we're going to do is set our goals,

and we're going to set them to exactly what we want them to be.

We're not going to rush, though.

Ain't no rush.

Keep in mind, the heaviest tank on the battlefield always move the slowest.

But what we won't do is waste no more time.
