Welcome to the sports motivation podcast. This is your host, Niyushobo. This is another episode of books and bars.

And today is a book. All right. It's a great book. I read it just the other day. I actually read it in one day. It was a snow day out here. It was snowing. And my kids were off. And I just took the day just to hang out with the fam and I was just lounging around and dug into this book.

And I was really glad that I did, especially at the time that I read it. And it was right after the Patriots won the Super Bowl. I think I already had this book, but it just inspired me to read it.

And so the book is by Julian Edelman, who is number 11 on the Patriots. He was the MVP of the last Super Bowl win they just had against the Rams.

And many are calling him a Hall of Famer now. He has had some always makes incredibly, just some incredible big plays in clutch scenarios, but it's

also just crazy productive as well and is a beast.

So, and he came from not, he came from humble beginnings as it relates to football.

I think he was drafted in like the seventh round, went to a junior college, went to, I think, Kent State or University of Kent, something like that, not a big school.

And then, of course, made his way into the NFL and is now just extremely big time.

So his book is called Relentless, much like, don't get it confused for the book by Tim Grover, but it's called

Relentless, and it's actually a really great book. There's a lot of books written, but I feel like

a lot of athletes write books. It's almost like you can guarantee whoever wins the Super Bowl,

there's going to be one or two athletes who decide to write books. Let's just say not all of them are created equal.

All right.

So a lot of them are pretty, you know, quickly thrown together in almost like little kids' books.

And this one is not that.

This is a great book.

I feel like he put a lot of time and energy into this.

And I feel like he did the right amount of stories mixed with detailing his philosophy and mindset.

I'm not one for a bunch of retelling of the stories and it was third down and all of that.

Like, I mean, I could just watch the game.

But I really like how he mixed it in here.
