I've noticed a trend with extremely rich and "successful" people. They think big; meaning they have incredible vision. But they match this "dreaming" quality with extreme and cutting practicality...an ability to see what's true that is superior to the average person. Most people ignore what's true, because what is true causes pain and confusion. In John Rockefeller's book, he explains why it's so crucial that you always pay attention and see things as they are.

0:49.7	If you guys don't know who John D. Rockefeller is. He was a very, very rich man who if he was alive today or based on
1:01.7	how rich he was back then in the early 1900s, 1800s, late 1800s, he would have been worth
1:10.5	$400 billion, making him easily the richest
1:14.5	man in the world several times over. All right. So this man is very, very successful, started
1:21.3	big in oil, huge philanthropist as well. He's known for giving away a lot of money also. And through reading
1:30.3	his book, which are basically a compilation of just quotes, I would say quotes and just thoughts from him.
1:38.7	They are also really cool. In the back of the book, they have some letters that he wrote to his
1:43.4	son and some other people, which I thought was really cool.
1:46.7	But basically, there's a lot in here. He's very opinionated, or I should say very principled.
1:53.8	And there was one quote in particular that I wanted to break down for you guys.
