today I'm breaking down a bar, but it's really not a bar. It's an interlude. And it's the first track

off a really great album by Cam Ran called Confessions of Fire. It's his first, it's his debut

album. Cameron is one of my favorite artists of all time.

I'm a huge dipset fan.

And Cameron got me through a lot of really, really tough times.

And by tough, I don't mean like, you know, my life was tough.

I just mean grind of a times when I was really chasing after my goals.

At the foundation of heart of the shit that I ultimately accomplished, playing in the NFL and doing

some cool things.

All right?

So this track, let me paint the picture for you.

Freshman year, right?

I was a walk on at Oregon State.

And I wanted a scholarship really bad and everyone knew that I did.

And the coaches told me I had to come in shape.

I had to weigh this much.

I had to be this,

this, this, this. They named all those things. So guess what I did? I committed to do all of that and more.

So I stayed home. I stayed in Corvallis, didn't go back home for a summertime. I didn't have

anywhere to stay. And so I stayed at Friends House on the floor. I had one of those little soft cushy, little egg carton mattresses, right?

The little foam pads you put on top of your bed.
