Today is Books and Bars, and I'm going to be breaking down a book.

And it's a book in a category, one of my favorite categories of books.

All right.

Now, I guess there's a lot of different type of categories of books.

For example, you can go with philosophical, classics, business books, self-help books, health books, wealth books, biographies, autobiographies.

I happen to love, absolutely love coaches books.

And by coaches books, I mean famous coaches, college professional coaches,

who write books detailing their philosophy. I absolutely love them. From Nick Sabin to John

Wooden to Pete Carroll to just another one, Phil Jackson, Rick Patino, Jimmy Johnson, and today I'm going to be breaking

down Bill Parcells, who is one of the greatest coaches, the greatest football coaches

of all time, I think it's fair to say, won championships with a few different teams was with the Cowboys, Patriots.

Where else was he at? Been around a long time. And someone who has had an impact on a lot of coaches in the league now.

So he, from his philosophy, sprouted a lot of other guys, right? Kind of like Bill Belichick.

So his book is called Finding a Way to Win, and it's a really good book.

He's a really practical dude, and you can tell he's being honest, and I like that.

So let me read this couple pages, and I'm going to tell you why this is so important and why this is so important for you, regardless of the fact of whether or not you coach or play, because this is powerful. All right? So he said, to get to any destination worth reaching, you better have a roadmap. You better know where you're going

and how you're going to get there. When organizations refer to systems or philosophies,

they're talking about the same thing. Scratch any thriving organization. It could be an electronics

company, a law firm, or a football team, and you'll find a definite philosophy.

These success stories have integrity, meaning they stick to their organizational principles.
