As a Big Book study, the goal of this recording is to increase our collective

knowledge of the book Alcoholics Anonymous by sharing with each other. Let's start by

introducing ourselves as speakers. I'm Callie and I'm an alcoholic. I'm Barb, I'm an alcoholic.

So today our chapter is We Agnostics, chapter 4.

And right in the beginning, right at the first paragraph, it gives us the two questions.

We only need two, actually, that we should answer if we want to know if we're an alcoholic or not.

If when you honestly want to, you find you cannot quit entirely,

or if when drinking you have little control over the amount you take,

you are probably alcoholic.

Now, I was reading that AA, put out a pamphlet with 10 questions

and that there are some treatment centers that have assessments that have 42 questions.

But the one I like best was one that came from Wino Joe in Tyre, Texas.

And that question was, do you find that the roof of your mouth gets sunburned?

That was my favorite.

So, anyway, assuming that we can both answer those questions, there are two possible outcomes.
