the father part, and I suspect I know the daughter part. I hope he knows the daughter part. He knows me better than most. Hi, I'm Kate, the daughter part of the bookcase. It is good to have you back or to welcome you

to what we hope is a little bit of a service to our listeners. One of the things I love is when

summer comes, there's a whole new bunch of books in the bookstore that are great, great,

great, great summer reads. So this week, we're checking in with some of our favorite independent bookstores across the country

to find out what they're excited about and what they're putting in their customers' hands as

summer begins.

And so we brought also to our own vacation, our own favorite summer reads to this as well.

And at the end, we have one very different kind of summer read that we'll introduce you to,

which is an interesting one, interesting idea.
