Summary

The Book of Joe Podcast begins with the World Series headed to Philadelphia. Hosts Tom Verducci and World Series Champion Joe Maddon discuss the environment for the game and both hope things don't get out of control. Over the last few years, the Astros are used to hearing it from crowds on the road so Joe doesn't think it will affect them much. Find out how teams communicate during the game and how it could affect some key moments. Onto Game 3, which is often the swing game in the series. Joe knows Noah Syndergaard and explains which pitches he'll use and how long you can expect to see him in the game. We explore how Twitter exploded around Framber Valdez in Game 2 and how Rob Thomson addressed the issue. We learn the only reason that Joe would ever ask an ump to check a player's equipment. Wrapping up, Joe recalls an RV he used to have named 'Cousin Eddie' and the many roadtrips it took.

The Book of Joe Podcast is a production of iHeart Radio.
