And we're going to take you through some of the movies that are playing in August.

Like I said last time, even if you don't live in Toronto, hopefully we'll say a film that you've never heard of, or we'll remind you to go, oh yeah, I should check that out. So August, it's the end of summer. Are you excited? Yeah, yeah, definitely. I'm very excited. Really? It's hot. Yes. I'm not one for the heat. Are you more of a fall baby where you're like?

Absolutely more of a fall baby.

I need that comfort, that two weeks of comfort that we get in Toronto.

So because we're doing this a little bit later this month, we're going to jump right to August.

The 8's Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill, Russ Myers Classic.

We did Faster Pussycat a couple of years ago, and it was like an extremely fun screening.

And this one's going to be introduced by drag queen Alison Chains.

So I'm very eager to get her little backstory on why she wanted to program it.

Russ Meyer is one of those filmmakers that for a long time.

He was kind of out of the loop as far as screening in theaters goes because certain people

own the rights to his films and they were not very friendly.

Yeah.

So I remember a few years ago in Fasting Cat Kill Kill was playing, I was like, whoa,

you guys are playing it on the big screen and it's coming back again.

I mean, if there's a summer movie, it's definitely that one where very strong women are beating weak men to the ground. Yes. And then on August 10th, we have Speed, the Keanu Reeves classic. I love how you wrote 25th anniversary. Yeah, baby. Do you think it's people in the door? You put like an anniversary or something? I always see that. It's like, it's the 13th anniversary of Toy Story 3. It's a, I don't know, it's sometimes like some cute little context. It often just kind of leads to people being like, wow, it's already 25 years old. I'm so old. Yeah, yeah. It's been 84 years.
