It's October and if you're like me, it's the most wonderful time of the year.

The Halloween season is upon us, even if the ongoing COVID-19 crisis means the holiday will be slightly different this year.

But to help get you or keep you in the trick-or-treating spirit, I've lined up four weeks of Halloween comedies

featuring some of my favorite old-time radio stars.

Yvesard and will kick things off as Our Miss Brooks in an episode that originally aired on

CBS on October 30, 1949.

The gang at Madison High is preparing a Halloween party and the tightly wound principal Mr. Conklin is in need of a quiet spot for some rest and relaxation.

Miss Brooks brings him to her house, unaware that the students

are waiting in costume to surprise her and her unexpected guest. It's another wonderful episode of this classic radio comedy with plenty of

irascible outbursts from the great Gail Gordon as Mr. Conclin.
