week for the Newst Olympian. We take breaks every six weeks, just so that I can relax a little bit, but mainly catch up on other work that I have to do with the podcast other than making episodes. But I wanted to make sure that we had something for your ears this week. And I've got a couple of different things. First up, I have a very special announcement. What we do here, T&O is every time I have one of these off weeks, I look at the total number of downloads that I got since the last time that we donated.

And then for every thousand downloads, I donate a dollar to a different charity.

So that means I will be donating $294 to Direct Relief Philippines.

So I had a listener reach out to me about this, and it was something that

hasn't really gotten its way to the American news very much. We do have quite a bit of really

bad things going on. Like snap benefits are ending. If you can donate to your local food bank,

I would highly recommend doing that. A lot of bad stuff going on. But there have been a bunch

of natural disasters going on in the Philippines. There were like three

major events all in October of this year, which is ridiculous. There's strong storms going through.

There was an earthquake. There was landslides. Just really tragic stuff. So I looked up different

charities that are supporting aid in the Philippines. And one that has a very good rating on Charity Navigator is Direct Relief. And if you go to the link that I've put in the show notes for this episode, it'll take you specifically to direct reliefs work that they've done in the Philippines. It'll mention some of the things that have been going on and it has their totals that they have given over the course of their existence to the Philippines. And they've

done loads of work in terms of medical aid and giving medicine and supplies and all sorts of
