We spent the last few months working on our series The Body Genius, and we needed to take just a short break after finishing it.

And so today, we're going to bring you something a little different. It's by another producer named Caitlin Prest.

She used to have a show on radio topic called The Heart, and she just recently produced a six-episode story for CBC podcasts about the anatomy of a relationship.

It's called The Shadows. Caitlin's work is very intimate and personal, and she does things with the microphone and the mic technique, and with the music and sound design and repurposing found tape that draws you in and makes you feel very close to what she's talking about.

And that's something that's true of all her work, but I think it's particularly true of this piece.
