It's the last What Next Plus before Halloween, and that means it's time for an extra special, extra spooky version of the Slate Plus Clubhouse. We've started calling this segment

Shoutin Friday because it's time when my guests and I choose a person or event from the

news that is making us feel that smiling devil emoji energy. You know, the one that gets us

feeling the Shoudenfroeder that bubbles up when a terrible person gets a bag of carrot sticks instead of an adult-sized chocolate bar.

Okay, here's why I thought we should do a very special Halloween episode of the show.

Okay, are you ready?

Okay, in my humble opinion, Halloween is the holiday that's like all about this energy.

Because yes, like, yeah yeah it's about like the veil

between the living and the dead but it's also about the tricks like jack-o-lanterns being naughty

all that sort of stuff are you with me luke yeah totally i think this is the holiday where like

taste or good taste matters the least i feel like you I kind of do whatever. You know, like, yeah, it's kind of you can be campy. You can be a little mischievous. Like, yeah, this is the time when that kind of stuff kind of comes to life. You can get away with the most on Halloween. I called up you because I feel like you are Slate's Halloween person.
