enjoy. Hands down over the past year one of the best most interesting books I

read is by Carl Truman it's called the Rise and Triumph of the modern self. He tells the story kind of the

history of the sexual revolution through the lens of key people such as

Carl Marx, Darwin, Rousseau, poets like Wordsworth, and others who shaped the thinking

of the sexual revolution. He goes back a century in some cases too,

and shows how thinking developed

in the way people understood what it means

to be a self, an individual, and that these ideas come to fruition, really in our time.

Again, this is one of the most interesting and influential books I've read in a long time.

In fact, I read it twice. twice well recently I had a chance to

interview him on my YouTube channel which is in partnership with our Talbot

school of apologetics and because it's right in line with what we do here on the Think
