And we thought, why not take a few minutes

to sit down and chat about our experience

of the Ivan Novello Awards recently?

Why not, indeed? And it was a really special experience for us getting to do that for the first time, so

we thought it might be nice to just talk you through that experience so that you can find

out what it's like to attend the Ibus.

Yeah, and before we do that maybe Simon you's like to attend the I of us. Yeah and before we do that maybe Simon

you'd like to explain to our dear listeners how we came to be involved in this whole

thing. Yeah well just recently the organization which was Basker, rebranded as the Ivas Academy,

so they've taken on a whole new identity and they've got new people, sort of ushering in a new vision for that organization to sort of address the

challenges of the future and so the CEO Graham Davies is someone who listens to

the podcast and is interested in what we're doing.

And I've been cultivating a relationship with those guys for a little while.

There's Graham, there's Frank, there's Wesley, and the whole team there who were doing really important work and we also got to me Crispin Hunt as part of the Ivers too. He's the chair and Graham is the CEO.

Which band was at Crispin? I think it was long pigs.

Long pigs yeah. Yeah. So over the last several months we've been sort of back and forth

and talking about possible things that we could do together and when it came to the

Ivers they very kindly invited us just previously I'd been down to speak to the

songwriters committee that they've got as part of the Ivers Academy and

the Ivers Academy is responsible for advocating for the
