So have you heard about the new iPhone, the iPhone 17? I had not.

So you're not keeping track.

I stopped paying attention to that a while again.

Yeah, I will say, you know, there's not been a whole lot of excitement about this new phone.

But there is one tiny detail that might mean a lot politically.

Okay.

On the back of the box, particularly the ones that are being sold in the United States, it might not read Assembled in China.

Yeah, because it said that for as long as I can remember.

And that is because of a big promise made by Apple CEO Tim Cook to try to move the business away from Chinese manufacturing.

To where?

Well, to this point, he actually brought up this very idea when he visited the White House just last month to talk about. Did you hear this? I mean, I'm aware that this event happened, but I was also mostly aware that it was really awkward when it did. So I didn't watch it. I'm going to play it for you. Okay, I will watch it for you, Asma, and for professional reasons.
