This is a bonus episode that we put together to honor the anniversary of what many consider the most infamous unsolved case in Indiana's history known as the Burger Chef murders.

When Todd and I first met in New Orleans to collaborate on the podcast

Undetermined, he told me about this case and let me just say I was hooked and

horrified even now 45 years after the heinous murders of four young Burger

Chef employees.

Yeah, I actually got to help with one particular facet of this case early on in my career,

but more importantly, one of my best friends on the department was assigned to the Burger Chef murders for 20 years.

So it's a case I kept close tabs on for the remainder of my career.

And even after your career, because you launched an entire podcast with this story.

Yeah I just can't let it go man and after you guys listen you'll understand why.

My friend Stony Van, which by the way is the coolest name in law enforcement, has never allowed anyone

to interview him about this case outside of local news outlets.

So I was completely honored that he not only allowed me to interview him, but to completely

embed him and his theory throughout the entire series.
