Hi, I'm Sunni Dean, the author of The Book Eaters,

and I'm here with Katie Eric, the audiobook narrator,

and we're going to have a bonus discussion just about everything related to the book eaters

and our roles in this novel.

I guess my first question for Katie is, what was your initial reaction when you were approached to narrate this audiobook?

I got sent the request by my agent and was absolutely terrified because I'd never done any sort of

audio narrative work before. And then she sent me a page to read and record and send off.

And I completely fell in love. And I sent her email like, I have to book this

job because I need to read this book before it comes out. So I was very excited and then was very

honoured when I was asked to come and narrate. Oh, that was really cool. Thank you. Yeah. So I mean,

for our end, we were sent three or four voices,

and I was really surprised, actually, because I think I'd said, they said, do you have any preferences?

I said, well, kind of someone who doesn't sound like they're just from London because the setting was important to me.

And I didn't think they would really necessarily pay attention to that,
