Michael. How are you, my friend? I'm great. What we're doing here is reflecting on the year that was.

The beat is turning one here in July, which is pretty exciting. And so I wanted to sit down with two people who've been a big part of our show and a big part of a lot of things, quite frankly, in 2018, to reflect. And with that in mind, Michael, what is this year meant for you and what is the most different thing about your life now as compared to when the year began?

Well, I think it's been a pretty interesting year to say the least, especially over the last five months.

You know, they say it's all about the ride or the journey.

I used to think that was a bunch of bullshit.

Can I say, I think I'd say bullshit. You could say bullshit on the pod. Yeah. All right. So I used to think that was a bunch of bullshit. But, you know, as I get more gray hair, although I know I have a lot of hair, I come to realize there's some truth to that. And it's certainly been, you know, an incredible ride over the last four to five months.

It's going to be really interesting to see how the year closes out are you using

tv or is tv using you well i mean i think it's like any you know any close relationship uh right uh You use each other.

So I think that TV and the media, they use me, and I think I use them.

And, you know, sometimes we're in love and we have great sex.

And other times I'm sleeping on the couch.

Wow.

And these are all metaphors in case anyone's listening and getting too excited.

Liz, you said very early on this year in one of the first segments we did on Stormy Daniels legal challenges with this president that she could be the one to bring down a president.

Talk about what you were thinking then and how it looks now.

I mean, it looks the same.

It just felt like a bolder statement at the time and a weird statement to say, and now it just sort of feels like, you know, it's what's going on in our day-to-day news cycle. and and and and and, and, and, and, it's, I can't believe it, like, came true.

Um, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, every single day. Yeah, at the same time,
