The following conversation was recorded at the Thanks a Million Buck Brunch, honoring Buck O'Neill at his Hall of Fame induction on July 23rd in Hoopers Town, New York.

Here's Negro League's Baseball Museum President, Bob Kendrick. Everybody remembers there's an omission of the brain and not the heart.

But I see Lynn Novick, of course, with Ken Burns and the epic documentary on the history of baseball. They've done a whole lot of other things, but baseball will always be my favorite

because they introduced the legendary Buck O'Neill to the world. So please, a round of applause

from Ms. Lynn Novick. My good friend, LaTroi Hawkins, he, Tori Hunter, Jock Jones were three of the first young group of major leaguers.

Every time they came to Kansas City, they made their way to the Negro League's baseball museum,

and LaTrooy came in to be part of this occasion and to see his friend,

Buck O'Neill inducting into the Hall of Fame,

former Major League of Troy Hawkins.

John Minton the Hulk, who also played a lot of baseball there in Chicago,

but Hall of Famer Andre Dawson,

and also to be part of today's festivities.

My Major League Baseball family, Leroy Hendricks, Tony Regans, Tyrone Brooks, all from Major League Baseball, members of the Buckle-Nill Scouting Association,

Steve Williams and others are also here today.

And so, again, I can't thank them enough for being a part of this celebration.

And last but certainly not least, the Buckle-Neil family.

And with members of the Buckle-Nill family, please stand.

I know y'all are eating.

And we're delighted to be able to share in this historic moment with Buck's family.
