literally a few days before we were all in lockdown and then yeah and then your book came out in April

Right in the thick of the pandemic. How you doing? I'm doing good you know it's been like a really

strange time I think for all of this right and and maybe kind of like weird to like

promote you know a book and like a podcast during this pandemic but it's like you

know it's also a reminder that you know like art also sustains us right and like

while we are in this pandemic you know it's like things we listen to

and like things we read that they really help us cope so it's been cool you know I'm

just trying to stay healthy and stay positive you know just like everyone else.

Yeah, you know, I've been thinking a lot lately about the intersection of art and activism and how art really gives us context and understanding of historical times, like just how important art is in

this moment because it's going to kind of be the blueprint for us in the future.

Yeah, no, 100% I feel like so much of what we do is for the future, right?

It's of course for the present, but it's for the future.

I feel like, you know, what we're doing now is so that in like 10 or 20 or 30 years from now people could like look back and be like okay in

20 this is how folks were living like this is how folks were like you know adapting and like you know surviving essentially so yeah
