True to his threat, the mad scientist, whose warnings have held the city in a grip of terror,

went on his rampage of destruction on the stroke of midnight.

The deadly impact of his mysterious ray smashed the famous tower bridge, hurling cars and pedestrians into the river below.

The police have warned everyone to remain in their homes.

another installment in our Superman Summer series where each week we present a complete

serialized radio adventure of the Man of Steel. Last week we met Lois Lane's

uncle Professor Horace Morton, and learned his secret method of predicting

the weather. Today, as our story opens, Clark Kent and Lois are dispatched on another assignment. An explosion at the Hans Holbein

Doll factory killed 13 workers, but what looks like a tragic accident turns in to a dangerous adventure after Superman discovers the

dolls Holbein was producing carried small vials of explosive material.

Soon Lois is kidnapped and Superman must save her and thwart the dastardly

villains using dolls to smuggle deadly explosives.

This is a terrific serial with some great villains and it feels like a story that wouldn't have been out of place on the George Reeves Adventures of Superman TV show.

It's one of my favorite story lines from this series we've been doing and I hope you like it too.
