in anticipation of the first Sunday of Easter which is to say

Easter. So we're delighted to be with you virtually in as much as anyone is with

anyone at this juncture in our lives

just to share some meditation some thoughts some contemplation on the

readings of this Easter summit so it's a kind of an Easter tradition I guess I think it's a kind of an Easter tradition, I guess. I think it's a tradition.

The Reese of Pascales, that during this period of Easter we should laugh, we should enjoy ourselves.

Certainly, things still remain sad, disastrous, devastating, and bad.

But we can't sustain sorrow for that long because our human frames are weak

and we just can't bear the burden.

So we're going to try to be as light-hearted as we can without

being flippant because we're praying for you. We're, yeah, we're hoping that things kind of turn

a corner. We're supposed to be in like peak week at certain places. I have no idea what that means because it still means a lot of people pass away for which we offer our prayers and suffrages. But we want to, yeah, we want to try our best. So with that in mind we're going to turn now to the

opening collect for Easter Sunday Mass and Father Patrick is going to lead us in that.

Let us pray. Oh God, who on this day, through your only begotten son, have conquered death and

unlocked for us the path to eternity.

Grant, we pray that we who keep the solemnity of the Lord's resurrection
