but you are a veteran journalist at the Daily Mail.

And so you did a fantastic sort of expose a few days ago about the Britain's barbershop boom.

I mean, everybody kind of knows, no matter which part of Britain they live in, it used to be just a city thing.

But suddenly, I mean, even down in a little village in Sussex where I go at the weekends, there's about three barbers shops in this tiny little high street. And you think,

what exactly is going on here? There's clearly something going on. And you've kind of nailed

what everybody suspected, really. It's got a tremendous reaction, I have to say, because

it has affected every town and village there were 18,000

according to a data survey now existing and 670 open last year so when I went round

the country I found really nowhere was untouched so even in

lemington spa yeah instance there was still barbershops in Coventry which is

where I targeted my article there are 22 on one streets

it's incredible isn't it and And it is all connected with obviously money laundering,

cash, often with the smuggling of migrants into the country. Yeah, yeah, it's my

cash, it has to be got rid of. And I mean, a lot of these places, I remember seeing them starting to first open up here a few years ago,

there's never anybody in them.

But I presume that the barber business is easy to order money through because you can't tell,

nobody can really tell how many haircuts you're doing.

Well, I'm told it works like this, and I'm not a tax expert, but I'm told that it works like this.

The barber takes 10K turnover, say.

He then declares to the revenue, to the HMRC, 60K.
