My name is Bill, and this is Bonus Song Thursday.

As Brian would say, welcome to it.

Unfortunately, Brian cannot join me today because he is off living a very busy life.

He has, for those that don't know, my normal co-host, Brian, is in a band

called The Paper Jets, and he also, that's the band that he fronts, and he has been playing

a bunch of shows with them and also recording a new album with them. And he also backs up a singer-songwriter named Jesse Elliott,

who has been a guest on this very podcast and talked to us about Weasers Pinkerton and also

Elvis Costello's My Aim is True. And so Brian's been playing a whole bunch of shows with both the paper jets and

Jesse Elliott and he's just been out there kind of hoofing it so unfortunately our schedules

didn't line up well enough that we could record this bonus song Thursday speaking of which

if you've never listened to the podcast before, what we do here every week is take

a different album of music and talk about what makes it great. So the other day, we were talking

about Harry Nilsson's 1971 album Nilsson Schmielsen, and that was with our guest Dan Drago from the 25 o'clock podcast.

And then what we do every Thursday is follow it up with a bonus song episode

where we kind of do the same thing we do on the regular episode where we do a deep dive

into the music, but instead of doing an entire album, we just do one song.
