Summary

Air Date: 4-7-24
Today, Jay!, Amanda, Deon and Erin discuss:
- Many facets of our society are clearly broken by capitalism, and bizarrely for some, chaos is the only thing that beings agency to their life
- The delusion of RFK Jr. voters, the understandable desire to vote third party, and the age-old cry of the 'uniparty'
- The trend of conservative voters among communities of color and where they find themselves in Trump's Republican Party
- And that one of the Democrats main stumbling blocks is they're only interested in keeping things exactly as they are

I do think, you know, and I was making notes about this too and debt relief was one of the things that I was thinking about like that gets people so enraged and again it's kind of this I didn't get that when I needed it why are they

0:45.8

getting it right it's the someone else got ahead in line and instead of seeing

But everything from immigrants getting asylum,

0:55.6

women shining a light on sexual assault,

0:57.8

there are even women who are angry about the Me Too movement

1:01.0

because, I mean, maybe this is anecdotal but I had heard some be like no

1:05.2

one cared when I was in the office getting sexually harassed you know it's this

1:08.4

attitude if I didn't get the benefit I didn't get it then I'm not getting it

1:11.9

now someone else is getting it now, and so therefore they don't deserve it,

1:15.6

or I deserve help more than this group.

1:19.2

And honestly, I mean, from reading these articles,

1:22.3

the solutions I think are primarily economic

1:25.3

and labor oriented but because the left is extremely near liberal in their philosophy these days,

1:33.6

they've led critical issues like this just fall through the cracks.

1:36.6

So now everyone's suffering the consequences

1:39.2

because we have a faction of the country who's just like,

1:41.5

let's blow it all up because I didn't get what I need and I'm suffering in some way. I mean that's pretty damaging.
