And it's something really I was honored to do, which was join our colleague, the Reverend Al Sharpton, at the National Action Network Conference that he holds every year. and this was in Manhattan, and we had a

whole conversation that you're about to hear, and if you ever listen to the beat, you know I'm

usually hosting and asking questions. Here it was the opposite. He called it a fireside chat

and asked me questions about recent news, from the tariffs to the signal debacle as well as some lighter stuff some fun

stuff because again it was a less formal setting than the way television often works so we have

heard from some of you all who listen to msnbc and the beat podcast that you like it when we share

these extra things and so we'll continue to do that if you guys are interested in it um it's not too long

conversation it's about 20 minutes it's an excerpt the audio quality is not perfect um so if you are an

audio file who really wants it perfect this might not be the one for you i did want to mention that

because we just sort of ran over there and turned on the audio and so you can hear me pretty well and

Sharpton perhaps sounds a little farther away. But if you want to hear that more casual conversation

about some of these important things we're all living through together and these damaging
