0:39.7	Universalism. If there is a reasonable hope that all can be saved and all things are possible with God,
0:45.5	and we know hell is locked from the inside by one's own will, can we have true hope that all souls can get to heaven?
0:52.6	God is also outside of time.
0:54.3	Therefore, if we continue the fatima prayer, can we save all souls?
1:01.3	There we go.
1:02.7	The traditional Catholic teaching is that you can only hope in the strict sense for yourself.
1:09.1	All right.
1:09.4	So you can't give other people grace in the way in which you can
1:16.8	mediate your own reception of grace. So like, for instance, St. Thomas says that God answers
1:21.1	all those prayers which we pray for the things necessary for salvation, provided we do so devoutly and perseveringly,
1:28.8	and then he adds a further qualification, specifically prayers for ourselves.
1:33.2	And you might think to yourself, that seems selfish or ungenerous.
1:36.2	But the idea is that when you pray for yourself, you are addressing the obstacles and hindrances
1:40.5	to the reception of those prayers, whereas you can't ensure that for other people.
1:45.8	So I'd say hope for your own salvation and pray for the salvation of those whom you love
