Just time for some random thoughts.

I've got a bounce around just a little bit.

Got an email from a listener, and he said he had heard me describing the method that I

talk about a lot you probably heard me talk about this where people can rack

the slide of a semi-auto. I'm forever getting calls from people who say my wife, typically

my wife, can't work a semi-auto and I want to get a revolver. I go, look, revolver's a great gun.

Don't get me wrong. I like revolvers. I have a lot of revolvers. But honestly it's probably not the

handgun I would get for somebody who's starting out. Simply put, today's modern semi-autos

are easier to shoot, have less felt recoil.

The triggers are considerably better

than a double action revolver.

There are a lot of reasons to go in the semi-auto.

But typically people say, my wife can't work the slide.

And I always say, yes, she can.

They say, no, she can't.

She's tried.

She's tried all the, you know, right know right I got it and then I go through the

drill and so I get a note from Lloyd and he said I've heard you talking about

this and my wife has a problem with her thumb, some kind of injury,

and she has never been able to work the slide.
