Podcast. Now this one's a little bit different. You will hear pretty quickly that

the fellow I had on the phone for this interview had a really crummy telephone

So it doesn't sound great. So as a result, we're not going to put it on the radio, so I'm going to put it out as a podcast.

And I think if you will stay with it, you will get some value out of it. But yeah, it's a crummy telephone and the sound isn't that great.

What we're talking about is traveling on the airlines

with guns and using good padlocks because the deal is when you travel on the airlines

with a gun you don't use TSA locks and I don't use regular pad locks because I've

actually had TSA cut the locks off of my case so now I use pad locks that it's going to make it a lot more difficult.

Nothing's impossible, but it's going to make it a lot more difficult for TSA to cut the

locks. And so that's why I invited somebody here from security snobs, which is a website where I have bought some padlocks before.

So here is that interview. I've often talked about traveling with guns. It's one of the questions we get an awful lot and I mentioned that when you fly on commercial airlines, when you have a firearm with you, there are certain requirements that you have to do and one of them is that

TSA is actually not allowed to they're prohibited from having the keys so they can get

into your case and at that point I say look if you're going to do that make sure you have good locks.

So joining us right now is Tom Timmo from security snobs. Now Tom you obviously sell really good pad locks and I'm a customer I bought locks from you but you

told me that you actually use this system when you're traveling yeah that's

correct frequently I travel with expensive items and unfortunately they generally end up being

pretty heavy and sometimes somewhat wired so I like to be able to check my

bag but obviously don't want people going through it and messing with it and they

generally don't pack it nearly as well as I would. So I use the same method and

like to be able to use my own high security padbox just so I know nobody is messing with it.

And just check kind of a dummy firearm that isn't even a real gun just so I can have that privilege.
