Tim, I want to jump really quickly into the book which I hope everyone goes out and

gets.

I think it's solving a problem that many people have pointed to or it's one of the solutions

to a problem.

But before we get there, you have spent a lot of your life in Washington DC and a lot

of people don't want to be near that place either metaphorically or in actuality except

maybe to go see a museum.

But there's something about politics, about the government, about the importance that

it has that certainly has captured your imagination, your career.

And I think that's a good foundation for why you wrote this book toward a more perfect

union.

So could you talk a little bit about your own journey into realizing kind of the significance

of the state?
