Summary

It started out so good! And by the end, the first hour of hot relevant artists like Olivia Rodrigo, BTS and Lil Nas X gave way to the same old Grammys -- dull staid performances, conservative voting, an awkward political statement, and a very out of nowhere pick for Best Album that no one seemed to listen to except Grammy voters! At least it wasn't the Oscars!

Also trending on Twitter is grannies, which that may be a typo, or it may be of a funny joke about who votes for the Grammys.

0:59.6

I've just thought they were talking about me.

1:03.9

Oh, boy. Like, I'm just, I'm a little stunned with how that ended.

1:09.6

You said it was a very Grammys.

1:12.9

Grammys.

1:13.9

What did you mean by that, Todd?

1:16.5

Well, when I was a kid, you could count on this happening like every year where they will

1:23.9

nominate a few relevant artists and one album or so where the only constituency

1:32.5

it had was the Grammys, not the general public, not the critics, the only people who liked

1:39.8

it were people who vote on Grammys.

1:42.8

This is how Steely Dan won in the year 2000.
